“All of my good ideas are battles.”
From Design Work Life: “For Stefan Sagmeister’s ‘Things I Have Learned in My Life’ project, [Adam Katz] came up with something I think all designers can relate to… For the installation, Adam spray painted 1500 plastic army men and applied them to a glass window…”
One look at this instillation and you can’t help but let your thoughts begin to wrap around the idea. Are all good ideas a battle? What makes a good idea a battle? Can bad ideas be a battle too?
If you think good ideas simply bloom from creativity, if you think that good ideas grow from simply existing in your mind, perhaps you should consider the hundreds of tiny, plastic army men that make up this piece by Katz, and perhaps you should think again.
