The power of creativity – when combined with focus – is absolutely incredible.
As a personal hero of mine, American writer, professional speaker and actor, Anthony Robbins once said: “Most people have no idea of the giant capacity we can immediately command when we focus all of our resources on mastering a single area of our lives.”
Taking the abilities that focus gives us as humans and using it with our ability to create, and you have yourself the key to creative success.
Lately I have been working on a lot of projects for work, and I’ve found that, when I try working on the projects all at the same time, I get no where with any of the work. Instead I only make a little bit of progress on one or two projects, and that’s it. Hours of work are practically wasted.
When I take a moment to focus and prioritize my work – when I focus on completing one project at a time – I get a lot more done.
Try it yourself. Even if you don’t have a lot of work, you may have other things in your life that are keeping your focus away from one, single goal.
The best way to gain focus? Write down all of the things that are on your mind; a to”do list works great for focusing your efforts. Once everything is written down, prioritize each item by importance, then get to work. It’s that easy.
