Your ideas can be so easily influenced by the world around you.
It’s important to experience new situations, to go “where you don’t belong” and mingle with people you don’t usually mingle with. Get out of your shell and experience the real world, the world outside of the small silo you can so easily be confined to.
When you sit to long in one place, doing the same thing over and over again, you are losing your ability to grow your creativity because the world you are in is what defines you. You can’t formulate new ideas without new experiences.
To quote John Jay in this inspirational interview: “Our job is to never let anyone define who we are.”
