Here’s some real-world creativity that deserves your attention.
Amid Moradganjeh of the Umea Institute of Design is working with people at Microsoft to humanize a piece of technology that many of us use every day: the cell phone.
“The Rimino concept is an E-paper mobile device with a user interface inspired by print posters. Historically, as technology has progressed, devices have become more conspicuous. Rimino challenges this trend and presents the alternative: technology that is more integrated and more sensitive to the human experience.”
To take something as definitive as the modern cell phone and make it almost fluid and organic feels like something from a sci-fi movie. But Amid is making it a reality, and the creativity he’s using to do so is just as sci-fi-esque as the concept itself.
