Finding purpose for your creativity

If you aren’t sure what direction to point your creative potential, there’s one exercise you can do (today) that will help start the process of sorting it all out.

Even if you have a purpose for creativity right now, it’s a good idea to re‒evaluate what you’re spending your time on and ensure you’re not wasting your creative energy.

Find a good cause for your creativity today by taking one minute to answer each of the following questions, either in your head or on paper or on the computer or however you see fit. You don’t have to share your answers with anyone, but it might be insightful to do so.

There are no right or wrong answers, and you can be as crazy and unrealistic with your response as you feel necessary. Answer:

What is one thing that needs to change in the world today?

What is one thing that needs to change in your country today?

What is one thing that needs to change in your town or city?

What is one thing that needs to change about your job?

What is one thing needs to change about your goals?

What is one thing that needs to change about yourself?

Now you have a good idea of what it is you should be focusing your creative energies on. It’s really that easy.

Help a friend by inviting them to answer these questions as well.
